Job Title: Manufacturing Technician – Electronics
Location: Glasgow
Role: FTC (18 months)
Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week
Due to demand we’re looking for experienced Technicians to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics [OME] business unit in Glasgow. With experience in wiring, soldering, potting and building electronic assemblies you’ll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.
The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
What you’ll do…
To perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
To adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks
Performs self-assessment and approval of products
To input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry
To be able to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition when able should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis
To manage and record build configuration of product
To use the company tools (ERP, Palma etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks
What you’ll need…
Experience in wiring, soldering & potting.
Ability to perform complex electronic operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards
IPC qualified
Experience building electronic assemblies
The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.
