WHAT TO EXPECT
To enable JLR to meet our ambitious, global manufacturing expansion plans, Industrial Operations Digital & Innovation is being established as part of the development of a class leading, high performing and best practice Process Organisation.

The IO Digital & Innovation department will allow JLR to support a population of deep functional experts who will bring specific process and application insight. This insight will allow us to achieve the greatest business value from the significant and on-going investment we are making in enterprise ERP and MES applications. IO Digital & Innovation team will provide the expertise and rigour to continually refine and improve the End-to-End business process used in each of our global operating locations.

We have an opportunity to be part of this department as Manufacturing Quality Specialist and be responsible for developing the manufacturing and quality business processes for deployment across JLR’s global manufacturing footprint, and for the implementation of these business processes required to ensure effective IT-enabled Systems.

Please be aware that this role will include travel to different JLR plants.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Define, maintain and continuously improve standardised global quality business processes.
• Implement a common process deployment and standards across JLR.
• Become Subject Master Expert for SAP S4 Hana Quality Management Module.
• Support the Quality Process Senior Specialist for establishment of process and methods of work.
• Engage and support stakeholders that interacts with SAP S4 Hana Quality Management Module such as Supplier Parts Quality (SPQ), Warehouse Management team, DHL, Plant Quality, Formel D, manufacturing team e.t.c.
• Provide support to the wider manufacturing function as vehicle programme begin their SAP/MES/etc… deployment programmes.
• Support the delivery of change requests and working to make sure there are robust business cases, are impact assessed and appropriate delivery plans developed.
• Support Change management activities in delivery of key activities: eg training, comms, business engagement and process documentation.
• Participate in testing and UAT activities when required and assist in development of UAT test scripts by defining appropriate business scenarios.
• Work with the business to ensure that master data changes are understood and processed by the technical and shared services teams in a timely manner.
• Audit for Process Adherence frequently performed.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities to ensure that future digital functionality can be passed from the programme team into a ‘business as usual’ environment.
• Development of functional competence to become a SME on the quality processes.
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:.

• Working knowledge preferable in SAP and any other Legacy systems.
• Operation knowledge and experience in the quality function.
• Excellent explanation and communication skills.
• Able to work with a large variety of people, working at various organisation levels.
• Participates in meetings and workshops with confident communication to an audience.
• High Knowledge of Business unit’s operations and core processes.
• Support business initiatives utilizing Project Management expertise.
• Serve as the conduit between the business units/departments and IT teams through which requirements flow.
