Manufacturing Production Operative - Sheeter
Main purpose and Scope
To assemble, repair and maintain sheet metal products designed in house to customer specification. Completed efficiently and right first-time accuracy. All finished products are to be accurate to specification. To assemble parts together by bolting, riveting, screwing, sika-flexing, or using special devices such as metal clips. To smooth rough areas, seams, and joints on burred surfaces on the product with a file or grinding wheel.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components from instructions and diagrams ensuring production lines are operating efficiently
- Fasten joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, metal drive clips or bonds
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts
- Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools
- Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are checked prior to use
- Ensure the area you work in is clean and clear of any hazards
- Use all relevant PPE as determined by the Health and Safety Handbook
Skills and Requirements
- Willingness to work with attention to detail and care
- Good communication and team working skills
- Experience using a variety of hand tools
- Experience in using air pressure tooling and electrical items
- Proficient in English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Press Brake Operator: 1 year (preferred)
- Metalworking Machine Operators: 1 year (preferred)
