Avaliable Job Today Wayland Games Limited is looking for a Manufacturing Production Assistant to work in the head office just outside of Southend in Essex. The successful candidate will have experience in a Creative Environment or Hobby, plus a keen eye for detail and previous success in achieving targets. Summary of role

This multi-skilled role will focus on aspects of Product Assembly, Resin Production and MDF Production; working as part of a number of teams. This includes quality control and working to strict deadlines to ensure products are available on time to trade and personal sales customers. The successful candidate must also ensure Health & Safety and Quality Standards are maintained at all times in line with Company expectations and Best Practice Process Protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Picking and Assembling work orders.
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy and in line with KPIs.
  • Checking tasks on the team board to ensure workloads and daily tasks are organised and completed to meet service levels.
  • Helping to maintain the stock storage system and stock checking regularly.
  • Assist with the production of MDF Terrain including painting and other ad-hoc tasks including, but not limited to, test-building and data entry.
  • To cast and de-mould high-quality resin sprues to the agreed schedule.
  • To follow Manufacturing’s Quality Control Standards; with a willingness to continuously look for ways to improve the Quality of Products and Production efficiency.
  • To assist in receiving and maintaining consumables stock levels.
  • Operating and maintaining machinery such as Shrink Wrappers and Resin Dispensing Machines, following strict processes in line with Health and Safety regulations; after training, when required.
  • Adhere to and ensure that the Manufacturing areas are kept to a clean and safe standard in line with all H&S regulations and procedures that have been set; encouraging others to do so, including managing your own workspace - emptying bins, clearing the floor etc.
  • Ensure all operational waste is correctly and safely disposed of, according to Company Standards.
  • Assist other areas of Manufacturing such as MDF Laser Cutting, Mould Making and Plastic Injection Casting; after training, when required,
  • Forklift duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance of the forklift and receipt of deliveries; after training, when required
  • To communicate effectively with the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Using and maintaining online tasking systems or databases to record the yield of product and report this to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Identifying and escalating issues affecting the team, its processes or service levels, including faulty equipment, to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Attending, with full participation, quarterly 1-2-1’s with the Manufacturing Supervisor, setting personal targets, development areas and discussing any training required to maintain effectiveness within the role in line with the Team’s skills matrix.
  • Ensure the Company's reputation is maintained at all times and encourage others to do so.
  • Assisting with any additional tasks requested by the Manufacturing Supervisor or Senior Management Team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,770.00-£22,770.00 per year
