Full Time, Permanent, Shift Work:

Shift Pattern 1 (Days) – 4 on 4 off, Days only, 12 hr shifts, 6am-6pm

Shift Pattern 2 (Days/Nights) – 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights, 12 hr shifts, 6am-6pm / 6pm – 6am

We are looking for a permanent Manufacturing Process Technician to join us.

Responsibilities:

You will align with required standards with respect to documentation, good housekeeping, cGMP, health and safety, timekeeping, regulatory legislative requirements and in accordance with the rules and requirements of the GMP Compliance Rulebook, the Code of Conduct, quality manual and any other company policies and procedures.

Ensure Operational Excellence is integrated into the team’s responsibilities. This should include embracing a philosophy of continuous improvement and a “Right First Time From Me” attitude to all operations.

Responsible for completing Deviations/CAPA/Change Controls when required.

Act as SME for process stages and liaise with support functions providing process stage leadership.

Provide support and troubleshooting of technical or operational issues within the department, working collaboratively outside the department when required.

Ensure the necessary documentation for the activities carried out e.g. batch documentation, SOPs etc are accurate and correctly completed and that procedures are reviewed in a timely manner to identify improvement opportunities.

Ensure stock is available and checked in to the area (e.g. media, equipment, disposables, environmental plates, etc.).

Ensure the correct operation and ensure maintenance of equipment in the department is performed (e.g. calibration dates) whilst assisting the engineers in their duties.

Conduct all production duties, including but not limited to aseptic process work, automated equipment operation, cleaning, HVAC checks, temperature checks, all log books, worksheets / checklists and all associated documentation, are completed accurately.

Participate in projects and activities as the need arises by their Team Managers.

To ensure all daily duties are performed and detailed and act as first point of contact if no Team Manager is available.

Responsible for escalating any issues to the daily meetings.

Responsible for effective resource planning and management of the process stage.

Responsible for developing and communicating improvement plans for the process stage.

Carry out self-inspection activities to ensure continued compliance.

Expected to provide backfill support for other Process Technicians and the Team Leader, where appropriate will be required to perform operator functions in other process stages.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a science, technical or engineering related subject or extensively experienced in the Biotech / Pharmaceutical industry (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of cGMP and the regulatory framework in which we operate.
  • Experienced Lead Investigator.
  • Excellent proven understanding of relevant QMS, eDMS and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of supervising a small team
  • Proven continuous improvements skills

Desirable requirements:

  • Strong Facilitation skills with the ability to optimally communicate to all levels within the organisation.
  • Good time planning and self-management skills.
  • Able to influence at various levels within the organisation and to engage support from other areas when required.
