WHAT TO EXPECT
Join the Manufacturing Excellence team as part of JLR's Refocus 2.0 and Reimagine journey as we transform our global Manufacturing footprint into delivering value driven competitive results across all manufacturing technologies. This role is part of a team who are responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce cost and eliminate waste of time, money, materials, labour hours and machine time while optimising labour value, volume capacity and manufacturing strategies. The role will focus across all Manufacturing technologies and sites.
You will have the ability to transform our global manufacturing footprint into delivering value driven competitive results across all manufacturing technologies. Identifying opportunities to reduce cost and eliminate waste of time, money, materials, labour hours and machine time while optimising labour value, volume capacity and manufacturing strategies; within a newly established team, only just getting started on achieving manufacturing excellence and competitiveness.
Roles andResponsibilities
- Implement and help further develop the Manufacturing Excellence strategy for competitiveness across all manufacturing technologies in our global operations footprint working to competitiveness targets and key results.
- Work as part of a team that are responsible for identifying waste in our processes and assess the value stream.
- Build strong relationships with the operations teams by showing the worth of competitiveness, bringing them along the journey of Manufacturing excellence and helping them with the tool sets they need make Manufacturing competitiveness a natural skill.
- Work as part of a governance model for programmes and model years to achieve the required operational targets and have successful launches, through the deployment of industrial engineering tools and techniques.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Previous experience of Manufacturing Industrial Engineering processes, tools and techniques
- Knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing tools, techniques and working practices.
- Previous experience of working with Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering processes.
- Experience of Manufacturing Engineering tools and techniques.
- Experience of Agile operating models.
