Then the Production Operative position could be the role you are looking for!!

In this role you will be working to technical drawings with the assistance of several engineering tools whilst using general practices. The individual will be working within a small team to meet targets and hit deadlines, which will require you to not only have a good work ethic, but to also be self-driven to meet goals and targets set by the Company!

Duties:

As a Production Operative your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Produce a wide range of high-end product for our customers.
  • Drilling/Packing/Blacking/Trimming/Cutting/Braid Making and finishing parts
  • To follow work orders and template instruction to cut materials for the shop floor
  • Use of various engineering practises – such as Drilling, Occasionally Wiring and Assembly
  • To follow in house build specifications and engineering drawings to produce rubber hoses suitable for the MOD
  • Building hoses of multiple sizes
  • Labour intensive work, heavy lifting on a day-to-day basis; lifting aids are provided
  • where necessary
  • To conduct re-work for the three main product market groups.
  • Good time management with the ability to work unsupervised and think outside the box.
  • Hand amending any paperwork in accordance with process used on the job and ensuring the information is passed to the correct people to incorporate
  • Overtime co-operation is required

About you

The successful candidate will have;

  • An ability to work collaboratively with others, but can also work individually
  • Previous experience utilizing drilling equipment and tooling is preferable
  • The ability to follow instructions, maintaining a good work ethic in a professional manner
  • Flexibility for low demand periods where other tasks may require support
  • Solution based thought process
  • Excellent attention to detail, and take pride in their work
  • Mechanical abilities
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Hours of work – 40 hours per week

Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:30pm and Friday 08:00am – 12:00pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £11.80 per hour
