Job description
Teknek – Manufacturing Operations Manager
Teknek is a specialist automation provider. Its equipment and associated consumables are used by the world’s advanced manufacturing companies to reduce defects.
From its headquarters close to Glasgow, it designs, develops and produces a wide range of products. It exports around 98% of all output and proudly serves Tier 1 organisations including – Global manufacturers of mobile phones, tablets, automotive, packing and medical industries.
After inventing the contact cleaning Technology, the company remains at the forefront of this industry by continuous innovation. Its products are the best available.
The business continues to develop new products, find new markets and new customers and is experiencing growth.
Our customers are global and demanding. Since 2006 Teknek has adopted best practise and is able to offer short lead times whilst holding little or no stock or parts or finished goods. Its reputation for high performance products, short lead times and excellent product quality has helped it become the NO 1 supplier of this type of product globally.
The drive to make more with less continues apace, and Teknek has clear plans as to how this will be achieved. Moreover, we recognise that we need to be a responsible producer and to that end are adopting Sustainable Manufacturing processes.
The Ideal Candidate
As a fast moving and flexible organisation candidates with the right experience and personality will thrive.
Whilst long service at one corporation would not preclude applicants, it is likely that those who have held operations management positions at such places will not have the ‘hands on – can do’ approach required.
Team working is vital and this role interfaces with all parts of the business. However, we seek candidates who have a track record of not only achieving via teams but can also point to many individual achievements which reflect the passion and intellectual fluidity of the candidate.
Teknek customers are demanding and require not only quick delivery but also high quality. Candidates who favour rigid systems including complex project management structures are unlikely to be able to add value to what Teknek customers require.
Operating within the guidance of a detailed annual plan which creates individual objectives for all staff, the company is highly focused.
Those with passion, energy and a desire to achieve will find kindred spirits at Teknek.
