This apprenticeship standard is for new entrants or those wanting to progress their career within the manufacturing sector.
The Apprenticeship in Lean Manufacturing Level 2 will be provided by Stepping Stones Education & Training .
Those wishing to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours to carry out their work safely and
meet the exacting quality standards demanded in a fast paced and efficient processing environment and develop into a multi-skilled operator through process ownership.
Role include: -
Working as part of a team within the Print, Digital, Publishing, Manufacturing process of the business, helping to create our products.
Developing skills and knowledge of efficient ways of working to improve productivity.
Understanding the importance of quality and applying it to departmental processes
LEAN MANUFACTURING OPERATIVE L2 APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD 12 MONTHS DURATION + 3 MONTHS END-POINT ASSESSMENT
Skills Required: Attention to detail, able to follow instructions, communication skills, team working, initiative, organisational skills, reliable, patient, keen interest to learn and develop.
Personal Qualities Required:
Good Listener, Timekeeping, Respect in the workplace, communication skills
Qualifications Required:
· Grades equivalent to a L2 Lean manufacturing Apprenticeship
· Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 1
Bus Route – Hanley to Milton, via Leek Road or Sneyd Green
