An iconic British brand whose products are sold all over the world are looking to recruit a Value Engineer to join their team. Based in West London, you will be responsible for tracking and managing product costs throughout the complete lifecycle. On top of a salary of up to £50,000 you will also get a pension, staff discount, flexible working and more.

As a Value Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with the product design teams to understand the engineering and provide cost insight of the design and manufacturing decisions.
• Drive value engineering where possible and define appropriate targets with a cost focused mindset.
• Track product costs through the development process including: BOM, Packaging and Manufacturing overheads.
• Project management of complexity reduction and increasing efficiency to improve "back end" costs.
• Negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers.

To be a successful Value Engineer you will have:

• Experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Estimator, VAVE Engineer, Value Engineer and a background in Design or Manufacturing.
• An understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, fabrication, sheet metal, forging and machining.
• Full product lifecycle exposure.
• Proven experience of cost saving through design and manufacture.
• Good understanding of production line set up and tact time targets.
• Strong negotiation skills.
