About Our Client
Located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire my client is a Large Automotive Manufacturing business who are looking to expand their current operations by recruiting a new, Lean Driven, Manufacturing Team Leader. This position will be solely based at the Sheffield plant responsible for Teams Leaders and Shop Floor Operatives.
Job Description
As the new Manufacturing Team Leader, you will report directly into the Site Operations Manager responsible for a specific production area where you will ensure on time delivery performance to meet customer demands. You will ensure the Health and Safety of Employees and that the company Code of Conduct and policies adhered to and promote and implement a culture of ZERO defects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery reliability and on-time delivery performance and meet customer demands.
- Develop and implement improvement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Value Streams including cost reduction and OEE targets.
- Share good practice through MOVE methods and networking and promote and implement a culture of ownership of issues and continual improvement of people and processes.
- Develop and motivate personnel to ensure engagement, showing effective use of coaching, mentoring & performance monitoring where necessary for employees.
- Manage the flow of information into and out of their areas, to ensure that the business performs to set targets. Ensure effective communication between all support functions to achieve business goals.
- Co-ordinate activities closely with all support functions to ensure they are aligned as appropriate.
- Coordinate Shift Plans and plan workload in advance following a yearly cycle, as per Company Goals.
- Plan most work 2-3 months in advance to meet departmental objectives and internal/external deadlines.
- Prioritise own work as there are often conflicting priorities to deal with and prioritise unscheduled requests for work according to actual need.
The Successful Applicant

You will also have 5+ years management experience with the ability to work under pressure, demonstrating an ability to set & meet personal targets.
What's on Offer
This is a Monday to Friday, Days Based position paying £40,000 to £50,000 with strong progression opportunities.
