INTEC’s innovative technology allows us to recycle many different types of plastic material together to create a “RE-PCR” REENGINEERED POST CONSUMER Recycled plastic resin that is much better for our environment than the original petroleum plastic resin. INTEC holds the world leading patented technology that allows PCR to be biodegradable after INTEC reengineers the PCR. This technology allows INTEC to sell the RE-PCR which now is a better material back to our customers at a reduced cost to the original petroleum-based plastic resin.

Intec Bioplasticsis dedicated to producing innovative, eco-friendly solutions specializing in the development and production of biodegradable and biocompostable plastic products, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and reducing plastic waste. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our team.
As the Chief Operations Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving the overall operational strategy and ensuring the efficient and effective execution of our manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations, including production planning, supply chain management, quality control, and process optimization. Your extensive experience in the plastic manufacturing industry will be instrumental in leading and implementing best practices to drive operational excellence and support our growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of manufacturing operations.
- Lead and manage a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation to meet customer demands and ensure on-time delivery.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality standards, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, sales, and finance, to drive seamless integration and alignment across departments.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies to support uninterrupted production.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
- Drive a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) in a senior leadership role within the plastic manufacturing industry, with a focus on production, operations, and supply chain management.
- In-depth knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies, preferably in biodegradable and compostable plastics.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align operational objectives with overall company goals.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proven experience in driving operational excellence, meeting production targets, and improving quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functional areas and levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices within the plastics industry is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $225,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
