Job description
Line Leader
We are looking for an experienced supervisor to join our busy biscuit packing department.
The role includes;
· Effectively control & monitor the daily operation of Packing Lines and follow agreed Operating Procedures and work instructions
· Utilise labour correctly ensuring the correct number of employees are working on the line – redeploy any additional people to other lines
· Meet quality standards documented on QAS
· Keep employees motivated and ensure that production targets are met
· Liaise with Section Leaders to ensure sufficient packaging is available to meet daily production requirements
· Complete all checks (Quality, weights, PPE etc.) required on Line Inspection Sheet while making sure they are factually correct
· Monitor & keep waste to a minimum
· Efficient product changeover and line clearance
· Ensure that Health & Safety regulations are followed
· Ensure that food safety rules are always followed
· Company rules are followed
· Management of employees including managing performance, issuing files notes & ROCs
· Ensure all employees are treated fairly & consistently with dignity & respect & be aware of different cultures while embracing diversity
· Actively promote a positive food safety culture within the department and the factory as a whole
· Ensure cleaning, hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained and are audit ready
· Organise effective staffing for breaks
To be considered for this role you must have previous supervisory experience as a large part of the role is to manage staff.
Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:15
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £11.50-£13.50 per hour
