About
BSB are a locally based company with a worldwide reach as we are part of the Maico Group who have sites across Europe, the middle East and United States.
Established in 1980, we specialise in manufacturing fire, smoke and air volume control products for the Construction and Marine industry.
Job outline
· Working in a manufacturing environment
· Day to day production tasks as directed by Supervisor/Chargehand, including Operating machinery, assembly, final assembly, etc. to quality standards
· Read and understand ‘work instructions’ and ensure output produced complies with the instructions
· Ability to perform internal manufacturing procedures. Able to meet quality and output targets
· Assist with housekeeping as needed
· Be flexible in performing different duties around the department
· Adhere to Health & Safety and Company rules
· Assist others in department or other areas of production if necessary
· Any other general factory tasks
Person spec
· Physically fit, able to work with a large number of heavy items
· Team player but able to work on own initiative
· Calm in manner, with ability to demonstrate good level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to prioritise changing workloads
· Can-do flexible attitude to meet increased volumes and peak seasons
· Ideally experienced in sheet metal manufacturing in a busy production environment

Offer
· Minimum starting salary of £10.50 per hour rise to £10.70 after probation
· Overtime available at x 1.33 (minimum £13.97 per hour)
· Monday to Friday 0800-1630
· Possible Shift Allowance
