Key Responsibilities
To provide day to day manufacturing support to Equipment (Assembly & Machine Shop) production operations, by the review/analyse of production processes and to make recommendations for improvement actions.
- To support and oversee the overall equipment effectiveness improvement activities by data analysis and monitoring
- Identify new manufacturing technologies and follow through from business case to implementation
- Document manufacturing operation instructions and provide relevant training as required, including maintaining the reliability of production test rigs
- Ensure that all new manufacturing processes/process improvements are verified in accordance with the quality standards working in conjunction with the Quality teams
- Apply Lean techniques and methodologies to achieve process optimisation and to continuously improve the output and reliability of the manufacturing facility
- To support supplier development with aim of improving tooling quality and optimisation.
- Work with relevant departments from start to finish to support the new product introduction process
Education/Qualifications/Experience
A minimum of 5 year’s experience working within a manufacturing environment.- Demonstrate examples of lead time reduction & Kaizen Projects showing real tangible benefits
- Provide evidence of Value stream mapping, Kaizen tools and methodologies for implementation.
- A Lean manufacturing background developing systems and processes.
- Experience of working with Computer aided design and/or 3D Modelling
- Good Practical Engineering skills and approach
- 3D printing knowledge
