Job description
Experienced Maufacturing Engineer required to work for Global manufacturer at their Swindon based site. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of the operational engineering team to improve existing Automated assembly processes. You will also provide fault-finding identification, correction, and process improvement, along with supporting validation, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited too):
- Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly.
- Preparing and implementing proposals for process improvements relating to Safety/Reliability, OEE improvement, Quality, Scrap reduction
- Experience in fault finding, Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLCs
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Fully document trials/validations and work in accordance with internal procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Regulatory Controls.
- Training of technical resources.
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Candidate Attributes Required:
- Understanding of electrical maintenance is required - having an appropriate electrical qualification i.e NVQ/City & Guilds.
- Qualified in a time served engineering apprenticeship scheme, educated to HNC level.
- Proven experience working as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a high-volume, automated, manufacturing environment. A minimum of three years relevant experience working as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer is required.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical capability, experience of implementing process improvements on automated assembly processes.
- Experienced in systematic fault finding on a range of automated equipment, both at assembly and component level.
- Understanding of PLC systems/logic.
- Structured and controlled working practices with clear and accurate documentation, reporting and presentation skills.
- Supporting customer complaints investigations using FMEA, change control and implementation of solution.
The successful candidate will be working Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:00pm.
Salary advertised is £45K to £60K DOE + 5% Bonus + Excellent Company Benefits.
