Job description

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for a local client in Hunt Valley, MD.

Responsibilities

• The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment used in our multi-line multi-facility food manufacturing company including equipment commissioning and decommissioning, sanitary design, and CIP systems focused on process improvement and strategic growth
• Oversee the Maintenance Superintendent, Craftsmen, and maintenance staff
• Coordinate and track preventative maintenance schedule to increase operational success
• Designs workflows, blueprints, schematics, and operation process mapping for mechanical systems in multi-line food manufacturing facilities
• Uses expertise to create design sketches, layouts, and plans
• Develops detail layouts for current and future manufacturing equipment across the operations
• Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of manufacturing equipment and product flow
• Hands on management, supervision, and project management of all aspects of industrial food manufacturing equipment
• Builds models, designs, and prototypes for lean & cost reductive projects with safety first
• Makes sound engineering recommendations to increase machine reliability and minimize downtime
• Implement and manage operational plans and strategies
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
