Terumo BCT Ltd - located in Larne, Northern Ireland - manufactures a range of sterile fluids for human use. An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Manufacturing Engineer.

JOB PURPOSE:
To Support production, maintenance and facilities operations.
Duties will include:
- Produce Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) and Work Instructions (WINs) to support all Maintenance & Facilities activities across the site.
- Working in collaboration with Maintenance Technicians, Production, H&S and QA Depts; to ensure all engineering, operational, H&S and regulatory requirements are met with documentation.
- Highly proficient with MS Office applications
- Support management of the plant calibration requirements for new instrumentation.
- Planning of routine calibrations with production dept and calibration provider as per monthly schedules.
- Perform planned maintenance routines as and when required within specified timeframes.
- Liaise with Production to schedule planned maintenance tasks
- Ensure maintenance requests are actioned and executed in a timely manner.
- Develop thorough knowledge of critical processes within the facility, such as the Building Management System (BMS), to support GMP manufacture.
- Develop a high level of knowledge of the manufacturing processes and equipment to provide Engineering support and offer continual improvement initiatives.
- Support Engineering team to organise and manage outside contractors as required.
- Help to ensure all engineering work carried out effectively, safely and in line with all SOPs and policies.
- Ensure engineering documentation completed in timely manner.
- Ensure a high level of house keeping is maintained. Assist in maintaining 5S and identify areas for improvement.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required by your Manager from time to time.
Applicants must possess:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Graduate level up to 3 years post qualification experience.
- MS Office skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Able to work additional hours as and when required at short notice.
In addition the following would be a distinct advantage:
- Lean six sigma experience gained within a pharmaceutical environment
