About the Role
As Professor/Reader of Teacher Education you will support the Faculty of Education in its ambitious plans for research-informed teaching and building a vibrant and inclusive research environment in the Faculty.
Playing a central role in shaping and helping to deliver research, impact and knowledge exchange strategies, you will have a well- established track record of research excellence in the discipline of education, and have expertise in:
- Research in education (and potentially also in one or more of its cognate disciplines), with demonstrable relevance for leading research strategies in (for example but not exclusively) - pedagogy, curriculum, teacher education policy, school intervention and improvement
- Supporting bid writing (with some track record of success in securing significant funding)

About You
Alongside your profile of teaching and research excellence in the field of Education, you will have a successful track record of significant income generation and PhD supervision. An enthusiastic, innovative and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will lead and inspire school partners in research collaborations and mentor developing researchers.
