- Approved Duration: 24 Months.
- Accessibility: Onsite.
- Shift Days: Monday – Friday.
- Shift Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm.
The manager is willing to see entry-level candidates with Technology/Engineering degrees. The manager is looking for Entry Level that is located in the Midwest. This is a shop floor position so candidates need to be comfortable in this environment.
Description:
This is a W2 opportunity; at this time, C2C is not being offered. Candidates for this role will provide support and basic troubleshooting for current operations. As well as Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned recurring tasks. In addition, this role will require candidates to establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts. Candidates will be working closely with large and heavy machinery to develop the next generation of industrial machinery. This opening will mainly be the 3rd shift (10:30 pm to 7:00 am) but candidates must be open to both the 3rd and 1st shifts. Overtime is likely, on weekends and before the shift starts. A person may drive a Deere-owned Gator after successfully completing training.
Primary role(s):
- Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
- Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
- Develops and implements plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System. Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
- Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency.
- Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.
- Modifies existing performance pay plans; assists in the development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Relevant Work Experience:
- Lean Manufacturing.
- Material Flow.
- Six Sigma.
- Bachelors/Associates.
- Or similar work experience in a similar field.
