Michael Page have been appointed to recruit for an 3-6 month interim Manufacturing Engineer opportunity based in Derby We are proud to be partnering with a long standing business who have recently experienced a period of growth.
Job Description
Reporting directly into the Head of Engineering as the new Manufacturing Engineer you will play an integral part in the project engineering team. As a business my client recognise the importance of improvements so as the new Manufacturing Engineer you will be experienced with leading improvement projects, control process changes and investigate process related issues. Working with the senior management team you will be challenged to identify new production and business improvements across the manufacturing facility. Additionally, you will apply structured methodology to problem solving and undertake Root Cause Analysis and develop Corrective Actions.
Other Responsibilities
- Work closely with other teams and departments to develop process improvements.
- Support section leaders to deliver business objectives meet targets.
- Control and validate process changes using appropriate tools.
- To assist in the development of standardised operating procedures.
- Identify, develop and implement best practices across the plant.
- To investigate the workplace flow and make recommendations for improvements.
- Deliver cost savings that benefit the bottom line in line with the company strategy.
The Successful Applicant
To apply for this very exciting, new position you must have manufacturing experience due to the technical requirements within this role. You will also hold a recognised engineering, six sigma, or lean qualification or be a time served engineer. Knowledge on Process flows and SOP's.
