Hardinge Grinding Group is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer w/ a master's degree in manufacturing engineering or rltd & 6 months of experience to develop, design, validate & manage the implement of production designs. Translate internal & external end-user requirements into measurable perf criteria. Support the development of schedule, budget for value-add value-eng. projects, dev tech comm: datasheets, interface control documents & test plans. Design, model, test product prototypes, maintain & improve existing production through design & competitive analysis. Responsible for generating & developing the VA/VE project pipelines through ideation workshops w/cross-functional teams to develop & maintain VA/VE targets. Work w/ procurement, engineering, manufacturing, finance & prod mgmt. team members to ensure compliance w/ all applicable national codes & standards as they relate to the produced product. Identify technical upgrades & cost reduction opportunities to keep the product line in a competitive position. Work with design engineerss during the development of products & in continual upgrades of existing product. Take necessary measures to improve the quality of product and information in the respective area of responsibility.
Work loc: Elgin, IL w/ req?d travel to client loc throughout the USA.
