Following significant new contract awards, a rapidly growing precision machining business supporting a diverse range of sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Industrial and equipment manufacturing has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing
Engineer. Candidates are sought with a high level of understanding of precision machining techniques and programming skills.
Commutable from: Rugby, Daventry, Coventry, Leicester.
Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 53,000 p.a. + pension + benefits
Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Production Engineer, CAD Programmer, CNC Programmer.
The Role
Managing NPI and is planned through the section.
Develop, run and manage machining trials.
Develop cycle times and productivity.
Validate manufacturing plans.
Develop manufacturing processes, routings and tooling requirements.
Deliver robust manufacturing solutions for new New Product Introduction.
Provide expertise in supporting the business with regard to the Manufacturing Systems, policies and procedures. This includes all planning documentation, routings etc.
Develop capable processes and standard work within manufacturing engineering and manufacturing operations and ensure compliance.
The Person
Good understanding of precision machining processes.
Experience in programming with CAM is essential, Specifically Fusion or SolidCam is beneficial.
Ability to program, develop machining strategy and trouble shoot.
A strong engineering background with a solid foundation in turning.
Experience using multi spindle, multi turret machines before would be beneficial.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritise under pressure and be self-motivating.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
