We are an established natural health business based in north Essex, manufacturing high-quality food supplements from our newly built, state of the art production and research facility. Our own brands have established themselves as market leaders within their respective fields.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Manufacturing Assistant to join our team producing food supplements for the rapidly growing health & wellness market, based at our site in Coggeshall, Essex. Start date would be immediate and the role will be permanent.
The role is primarily to carry out production/packaging of finished products and cleaning of the production area. All work is to be carried out in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and the company’s SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Staff will be working in a production team, so teamwork and the ability communicate effectively with others on site is of vital importance.
Duty and responsibilities include:
- Read all the SOPs which are applicable to their particular role, as instructed by their production manager/ production supervisor
- Assemble raw and packaging materials.
- Dispense materials for production.
- Manufacture bulk product.
- Set up and run all machinery and equipment in for manufacturing and packing.
- Cleaning of machinery and equipment after completion.
- Complete documentation applicable to their duties.
Experience in production industry (pharmaceutical and food industry) would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
Skills:
- Previous experience working in food/pharma manufacturing will be a bonus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Numeracy skills are essential as items need to be accurately measured
