Job description
Job Title: Cleaner
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming within the manufacturing and office area.
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, showers and drinking fountains.
- To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc...) as required
- The use of chemical agents as required in the discharge of cleaning operations, after receiving proper instructions and training.
- To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm's extension from floor level.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
Experience:
- Previous experience in manufacturing cleaning is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks within given timeframes
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
Hours:
This position can be provided as 1 full time role or 2 part time roles with 16 hours each week.
Part time hours 0800-1100 and 1400-1700
