This job will be based at Stryker’s Belfast facility, Heron Road, Belfast.
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the performance of an assigned team / work process. The role involves having ownership and accountability for personal and team-based performance metrics. This role involves working closely with Operations Management to optimise performance to the production plan and continuously improve quality performance.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Ensuring the team performance meets KPIs on Safety, Quality and Productivity
- Collaborating with the inbound team, sourcing and quality inspection to ensure materials received contain all necessary paperwork
- Ensures 6S is always adhered to for areas of ownership
- Supports Operations Team on stock control and stock accuracy
- Supports Operations in the recording and disposition of scrap materials
- Supports Operations Team with Material management and transfer to offsite storage locations
- Actively engaged in providing and actioning suggestions for continuous improvement
- Provides active coaching and feedback to operators.
- Leads by example and fully cross-trained for areas of ownership
- Manages training within the team against site KPIs
- Actively manages production flow to optimise performance
- Ensures Production Schedule is always followed.
- Lead the Tier 1 Process
- Actively anticipate potential downtime and reduce production interruptions
- Supports Operations for order processing when required
Experience & Knowledge Skills
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ manufacturing experience
- Previous supervisory experience desirable
System/Computer Requirements:
- Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Competency with SAP
