Summary of the Role:

Our client requires a seasoned manual tester with banking experience ideally with hands on experience of testing customer statements. This is a Hybrid role with 1-2 days onsite.

Your attention to detail and keen eye for accuracy will ensure any discrepancies are quickly identified and highlighted for resolution, whilst working closely with the BA and the Developer.

As a highly motivated self-starter, you will relish the opportunity to take ownership of your workload and operate autonomously, without the need for constant supervision. Your excellent time-management skills will enable you to report daily on your progress with testing, as you work tirelessly to achieve your goals.

Deliverables:

· Independent tester to test all of the customer statements and statement templates

· Ensuring all customer data is accurately represented and format is consistent from existing statement at source to new statements in the new target system.

· Work within PlanetPress software in readiness for an upgrade to PReS Connect

· Find out test data needs and business success requirements

· A strong eye for detail to ensure that there is no disruption of service to the end customer

· Expert SQL skills to write SQL statements and interpret SQL queries and results

· Daily progress reporting on test volumes, results, and defects

· Updating Jira with testing activities and results

· Not be afraid to ask questions and challenge.

· Working closely with the BA and the Developer

· Define testing objectives to fulfil them.

· Define quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results and test status

· Review and analyse system specifications, and test procedures.

· Early testing of applications for early identification of errors

· Root cause analysis of errors and defects

· Carry out tests on source code and post-release testing

· Carry out regression, functional, system and integration testing

Essential skills and experience:

Project Partners are looking for a good all-round manual tester who has been there seen it and delivered it! Someone who has worked on a variety of projects where they have led from start to finish in a range of organisations and sectors, ideally Financial Services. Someone who exudes confidence without arrogance, who can articulate issues and looks for solutions, who is able to adapt to different organisational cultures and client bases and someone the client can instantly have confidence in.

· Proficiency in SQL is a must, both in written communication and querying

· Jira, Zephyr

· Self-starter

· Banking experience and ideally with statements and templates

· Strong organisational skills

· Written and oral communication skills

· High quality attention to detail

· Team working and critical thinking

· Capability for multitasking and priority setup

· Critical time and work management

· Understanding of customer requirements

Desirable skills and experience:

· PlanetPress and or PReS Connect experience

· IBM Streamserve

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

Salary: £400.00-£425.00 per day

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
