Role:
As a Software tester you will be the focal point for Quality in the IT Development Team. You will work alongside Developers is releasing products to the operational business for Web and Mobile Applications working in parallel with Testing Automation Team.
You will be familiar working an Agile way and confident working alongside both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a very exciting time to join the IT Team with big changes coming including to ways of working and cool new offices.
Key responsibilities
· You will review and analyse requirement documents ensuring business and technical requirements are fully understood.
· You will undertake housekeeping and produce test documentation (test plans and test scripts) to the agreed standard.
· You will conduct quality testing on projects and issues to agreed processes and timescales.
· You will identify and carry out regression testing where appropriate.
· You will report defects accurately and manage through to successful resolution via Jira.
· You will report testing progress to the Testing Manager by communicating effectively and escalating where appropriate.
· You will maintain and create product knowledge documentation for use within the team.
· You will assist with any functional queries that may arise from business users following releases.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Good experience in system testing
· Software testing experience, including web and mobile (IOS/Android)
· Experience of preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, defect reports and progress updates.
· Testing large and complex projects with multiple interlink dependencies within the application
· Knowledge of Greenfield application building
· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
· Proven experience of working with daily releases (Cross Environmental) and high output of development work.
· Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
· Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
· Proactive approach to own personal development
· Experienced with bug / issue tracking software (JIRA, TFS)
· ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level - Desirable
