The successful candidate will report to the main investors and be responsible for all aspects involved in launching, running and growing the business. This is a medium-term project with quarterly, mid-year and annual KPIs and a success horizon of 3-4 years. Salary will be £85K per annum, plus pension and health benefits, with potentially a seven-figure upside in the form of bonuses or share options.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Gaining a deep and thorough grounding of the market place the company operates in
- Gaining a deep and thorough understanding of the products and services offered by the company
- Managing the existing team and recruiting high calibre people as vacancies arise

- Managing the operational performance of the company
- Taking ownership of all the key variables that are instrumental in driving growth and success including sales, marketing, product delivery, quality control, accounting, regulatory compliance, etc
- Being able to overcome obstacles and reversals
- Being the public face of the company in media and PR exposure
- Being the public face of the company in future investment presentations
- Taking ownership of monthly management accounts and performance against budget
- Making it happen!
Whilst we welcome applications from those with relevant experience in a similar level role, we also welcome applications from those with experience in lower, second tier roles who now feel ready to take on this challenge, make it their own, make a success of it and make their mark.
The list below includes some factors that will make you attractive as a candidate for this role – but no one factor is essential, and some may even be mutually exclusive.
- Experience of a B2C environment
- A history of delivering on expectations
- Experience in property maintenance but also interior styling, decor or home furnishings, be it in publishing, retail, property development or elsewhere
- Familiarity with a subscription business model
- Familiarity with ecommerce and digital marketing
- Marketing expertise
- Experience of early-stage company growth
- Experience in property management within the rented or owned sector
- Experience of new product/service launch
- An easy confident manner that carries authority without trying too hard
- An obsessive, sharp mind that obsesses with making things work
- Personal grit and resilience
- A clear thinker who can prioritise, discard the peripheral or irrelevant and focus on the areas that are critical to success
- A practical mind that finds solutions to the inevitable obstacles that arise in any company’s development
- A good academic grounding
- An innovative mind that can create something out of nothing.
- An attitude that values delivery and performance over titles and status (you’ll have admin support, but if you need a diary secretary, you’re unlikely to be the right person)
- Experience presenting to investors
- Experience with media/PR
Most of all, we want to hear about your track record, where you’ve made a difference and why you believe you can deliver on this role, one that we think is a unique life-changing opportunity.
If you’d like to apply, please send us your CV with a short covering letter.
We take equal opportunities seriously and invite applications from suitable candidates from within the entire spectrum of people.
