Our Team:
Our Software Test Engineering function runs out of London, New York, San Francisco, India & Tokyo offices. Working in an Agile environment, you will work on Medidata’s next-generation clinical trial management applications. You will work as part of a agile team which has Engineering, testing, Product and Project Management that ensure we are delivering high-quality, products with an emphasis on quality and speed to market. You will participate in the execution and team adoption of testing, automation tools and best practices
Who we’re looking for:
Manage Testing team towards delivering multiple complex platform applications in and our environment.
Understand and provide high-level test estimates for the upcoming features.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager/Project Manager/Product Manager in planning and allocating the right test capacity.
Onboard required test methodologies and processes to refine testing and bring efficiency.
Work with partners of multiple projects to determine the contribution that the test function can make to achieve and assure our goals.
Ensure project risks are communicated and mitigations are taken to complete projects following the defined timelines.
Contribute to the Programme Review & Go/No-Go Meetings providing executive summaries and creating JIRA dashboards to allow efficient decision-making towards product releases.
Ensure the Test Strategy and Plan aligns with the product requirements.
Ensure the integration and end-to-end automation are implemented to help deliver faster and gain confidence.
Establish standardisation across the teams concerning automation.
Lead and contribute to design discussions about test frameworks and test scripts.
Ensure the team builds meaningful test data sets based on real-world production data that mimics how our customers use our products.
Work with the team to enhance the automation framework to increase the reliability, usability and performance of the automated solution.
Manage, mentor and devise individual development plans for direct reports
Key contributor to a global, multicultural distributed testing and quality engineering team
Requirements:
Technical skills in Software development processes, testing methodologies
Experience in using the products as a user
Functionality / technical design & related industry business processes and complement it with relevant use cases, test scenarios definition/creation.
Knowledge of usability testing, PCS, Security, Mobile/Web, …
Technical Automation experience
Deep interest in software testing and quality
Test Management and Automation with experience of 3+ years.
Experience working with business representatives through user acceptance testing.
Experience working with code repositories such as GitHub.
Experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium/Cypress/Robot Framework.
Experience with coding in Python/Java/JS related to Test Automation.
Experience with API Testing concepts and Database knowledge in relational and non-relational DBs
Must have knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing strategy using tools like Jenkins/Travis/GoCD.
Can think from the user's perspective.
Be a problem solver - find creative solutions for tough problems
Understand the pros and cons of different implementation methodologies, including Waterfall and different flavours of Agile.
Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant testing processes
