Job description
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Retail Banking & Strategy team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
You will gain hands-on experience in customer, marketing and and employee communications, change communications, and reputation building through key business priorities like international, customer experience, marketing etc. You will put this experience to good use through your increasing understanding of a wide range of marketing and communication channels, both internal and external.
Day-to-day responsibilities for this role will include:
- Support the effective communication of HSBC RB&S priorities, company purpose and business activities to a range of audiences.
- Develop appropriate communications in line with HSBC’s values and global policies
- Participate in communication campaigns and projects to support the bank’s strategy
- Devise and execute communications plans, with guidance from your line manager, to support business activities and strategy
To be successful in this role we are looking for:
- A genuine interest in communications combined with strong personal communication skills – someone with a strong interest in current affairs and strong written and verbal English skills
- Motivated and dedicated - has a record of making a positive impact on projects, events and groups
- A collaborator who is able to read others well and encourage mutual respect in sometimes high-pressured environments.
- Adept at building reliable relationships and ensuring people can count on them. We want someone who can think strategically and generate new ideas showing a determination to learn, with a particular openness to all things digital
- Courageous and proactive – someone who can take initiative when it comes to their own work and is resourceful and curious, with strong analytical capability
- Strong project management skills
- Extensive experience in campaign execution
- Ability to build relationships with agencies.
