Working closely with the SVP, and other senior colleagues, you will be the international lead for audience development projects for Global Classics & Jazz priority artists, with a remit to hone and lead our global audience growth strategy – across YouTube, TikTok and a variety of social media platforms. You will build relationships with key artists, managers and colleagues from across UMG. The B Side: Skills & Experience Be Digital As the international lead for audience development projects for priority artists, your remit is to hone and lead our global audience growth strategy for priority artists – across YouTube, TikTok and a variety of social media platforms You will provide digital/audience strategic input on key campaigns and work with labels and local markets to amplify any local digital ideas to ensure they can be replicated globally You will work alongside marketing team members on management/artist pitches and proposals when related to digital/social/audience growth You will share best practice and updates on our key social and digital platforms As a social media/TikTok/ youtube native, you will integrate influencer and lifestyle marketing into International digital campaigns and maintain a good knowledge of key players and trends within this influencer/creator space You follow UGC trends on platforms such as tiktok, youtube, while identifying opportunities through data early You will work together with the media buying team on global digital campaigns for certain priority projects, working on strategic International allocation of media spend based on analysing the data performance in trending markets CRM – You will work with our labels and territories to maximise data capture and audience acquisition opportunities for our artists and genre brands Be Analytical The role requires an ability to understand emerging patterns, trends and data, recognising what tools are required for propelling success, while leveraging various stakeholders in order to deliver this Closely monitoring data and performance of projects through various internal and external data tools Consistently analysing the results of marketing campaigns alongside additional contextual marketing conditions, you will identify key opportunities and communicate these to the team Be Commercial Strong knowledge of the streaming space and playlisting, with a focus on global DSPs such as Spotify and Apple Music, Amazon & YouTube services Working closely with the GCJ Commercial team on streaming and playlisting insights The role will demand particularly close working relationships with all the labels under the group, including New York-based Verve Label Group, London-based Decca Records, Berlin-based Deutsche Grammophon, and other labels such as Mercury KX, Blue Note, Hyperion records and beyond Person Specification Necessary Must be fully immersed in music and popular culture, a digital native with keen understanding of current youth trends Thorough understanding of social media and digital marketing platforms Ability to work on multiple projects and multiple levels simultaneously Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically on all levels, to internal stakeholders, artist management and senior management Demonstrated team player, with exceptional relationship skills Ability to operate in an international environment with an awareness of cultural sensitivities Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Love of music from classics, jazz and all related crossover genres (specialist knowledge not necessary) Strong and proven communication skills Strong, proven, commercial and creative acumen Experienced and respected international marketing executive Results-oriented Excellent presentation skills Influencer & relationship-builder Resilient & tenacious Fast thinking, hard working Ability to act on initiative Cultural curiosity and willingness to travel Internationally Just So You Know… The company presents this job description as a guide to the major areas and duties for which the jobholder is accountable.
