Global Catalog Operations team at Amazon is looking for a highly motivated and talented operations manager to manage in-office and remote team of 15-20 multilingual associates responsible for driving global catalog improvement programs. The leader may have remote leadership to report to and manage team independently locally. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellence. In this role, you will be working with catalog associates and leaders in engineering, business and operations domain. Teams’ charter is to drive better catalog quality through a series of programs which include targeted catalog enhancements, audits to monitor catalog health, improve machine learning through manual feedback etc.

  • Manage in-office and remote associates, specialists (~15-20 people) and oversee day-to-day operations
  • Role requires the employee to work from Amazon corporate office location in person
  • Responsible for delivering staff performance reviews
  • Owns weekly/monthly metrics and process reviews with internal and external stakeholder
  • Responsible for operations processes standardization for maximum efficiency
  • Ability to produce executive metrics and make recommendations for process and systems improvement
  • Initiates and leads process improvement projects, presents solution proposals, and implements them to other applicable/in-scope operational areas
  • Works with internal/ external teams and uses his knowledge and expertise to execute business goals
  • Manages escalation/ complex tickets; analyzes data; highlights trends, gaps, etc.; and reports key metrics
  • Plans capacity and commits to volume by managing resources, queue, shift management, cross training, and leave management
  • Owns and prioritizes work allocation based on business needs with a daily/monthly frequency
  • Performs deep-dive analysis and creates COEs (Correction of Error) based on the deviation, problem, root cause, and solutions
  • Builds robust launch plans for new team members & owns progress tracking of new joiners through a complete administration of launch plans as a mechanism and not just good intention

• Master’s degree in management is a plus • Strong interest in metrics and reporting is highly desirable • Previous experience in data related work is added advantage Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
