Purpose:
The HR Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement in all people processes and procedures, ensuring that HR best practice and compliance is maintained across the business.
To be responsible for overseeing all Human Resources operations and ensuring they are aligned with business goals.
Nature and Scope of Position:
General responsibilities to include:
- Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
- Provide day-to-day coaching to the leadership team on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application; talent management and development; and organisational design.
- Take ownership, respond positively and with pace to complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance and performance management, both informally and formally, supporting and coaching leaders to a timely conclusion.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Partner with leadership team to monitor and report on workforce and succession planning
- Actively participate in annual budget planning/staff forecasting process
- Develop and ensure that the recruitment strategy is consistent throughout the business
- Facilitate process of candidate selection; interviewing; job offer; background check; and candidate onboarding details.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle
- Lead HR cycle deliverables to include performance review; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrolment; etc.
- Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs i.e. training to address certain needs.
- Analyse trends and metrics to develop solutions; programs and policies.
- Responsible for people and culture development including annual initiatives and regular communication with stakeholders
- Develop a company culture and management style that is in line with company values
- Manage and monitor employee absence
- Ensure all company policies are regularly reviewed and meet local statutory and corporate requirements.
- Provide full support for any structural or workforce changes within the business
- Ensure organisational design is implemented effectively in the business and change is managed and in accordance with best practise.
- Representing the global HR function locally, ensuring that initiatives, communication or processes are rolled out on a local level.
- Providing accurate and timely data to support the payroll process and assist in payroll related enquiries
- Building trust by role-modelling ethical behaviour and applying principles and values consistently in decision-making.
- Ensuring the relationship between the organisation and its people is managed through relevant law and practices.
- Remain up to date on Employment law and legislation changes - cascade information to ensure compliance, changing and updating policy/process/contractual statements when required.
- Participate in HR Europe group communication including provision of required reports, accurate and timely data and sharing local initiatives and experience.
- Be responsible for GDPR compliance of the HR processes within the business, acting as a Data Privacy Council Member for the UK Sterimedix Operation.
