Position Overview
This role will work with the wider Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The Manager, Finance & Accounting plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s finance, accounting, and payroll functions are properly managed, and that all internal and external reporting requirements are met on a timely basis. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
  • Accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement and analysis against budget
  • Manage all purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger functions
  • Ensure the Finance Department is compliant with the Company’s operating rules, policies and procedures
Duties
  • Ensure maintenance of the general ledger, including month end journals and reconciliations, fixed asset registers and depreciation
  • Ensure customer billing is accurate and raised in a timely manner
  • Manage creditors ledger and payment processing so that all invoices & employee expenses are processed and settled within payment terms
  • Production of VAT and other tax returns, and submission to the tax authority or provide accurate information in a timely manner so fiduciaries can prepare submissions. Review submissions and resolve any queries.
  • Assistance with Corporation Tax (incl. Capital Allowances) computations, and liaison with company’s Corporation Tax advisors
  • Monitor and analyze results against budgets and explain variances to support production of the monthly consolidated management accounts and identify risks
  • Support the operational and commercial teams providing key insight to improve on performance and ensure spend is controlled
  • Lead, develop and motivate all direct reports. Identify training requirements and mentor team members
  • Ensure the Finance function is equipped with adequate and suitably qualified resources to ensure compliance with relevant corporate regulatory requirements
  • Support the preparation/ production of the Company’s monthly payroll processes
  • Assist with the company’s annual accounts preparation and audit processes with external providers
  • Support the maintenance of appropriate internal financial controls and risk management processes
  • Weekly cash book reconciliations. Monitor cash balances and ensure immediate funding requests are submitted on a timely basis
  • Provide financial information required to secure debt facilities. Prepare monthly/quarterly covenant calculations
  • Work with the FP&A team to support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow requirements
  • Support the business with adhoc requests for data, insights, financial planning and analysis
  • Ensure the Company’s internal financial control systems, processes and policies are complied with by all parts of the Company’s operations, including supply chain management, purchasing controls, payment authorizations
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Finance or professional qualification, strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, strongly preferred
  • Experience of working in a Data Center or Critical Infrastructure environment, preferred but not essential
  • Experience in dealing with customer issues and problem solve
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers.
  • Fluency in English essential. Fluency in other languages relevant to the region being managed an advantage.
  • Assertive and confident with a high level of personal and professional credibility
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes
