Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This role is a key interface in the creation and delivery of credit products and solutions. The main duties are to work with Sales and Relationship Managers and Trust Directors to assess clients’ credit requirements, to manufacture credit solutions that meet those requirements and to balance these needs with the revenue and return benchmarks of Wealth Management International (WMI) and RBC.

What will you do?

  • Works closely with multiple sales units, Group Risk Management and other key RBC partners in identifying, structuring, analyzing, negotiating, documenting, delivering and monitoring credit solutions, often with significant complexity
  • Works with RBCs HNW and UHNW Clients to understand their lending, banking and general wealth management requirements
  • Continuous focus on on-going process improvement to improve efficiencies and WMI ability to compete and win vs our competitors. Implementation of streamlining, automate or otherwise improve existing processes and practices. Particular focus on speed and quality of decision making in credit underwriting process
  • Actively participates in and contributes to strategy development. Works with leadership across WMI Credit Team and with Global Products and Strategy team to contribute to the growth/development of the credit book
  • Ensures effective collaboration between teams including S&RM, Investment Products, Group Risk Management and broader Credit teams locally and globally as well as other WMI units

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent investigative skills, excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong track record of managing UHNW client base
  • Commitment to delivering change and process improvements
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commercial and “client first” mindset
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Degree in Banking & Finance, Business, Accounting or Equivalent
  • Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice
