As a member of our Business Development team, you will be on the frontlines - building excitement and generating demand for our unique services - while partnering with solutions experts to achieve the desired end. As part of the team, you will directly contribute to our customers’ success stories as well as to Mastercard’s positioning as a payments services leader.
All About The Role:
The Manager for our Consulting business will lead business development and sales in the UK & Ireland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving new business with existing financial services customers and establishing new client relationships e.g. within the retail & commerce space
- Owning the end-to-end sales process with customers
- Ensuring full delivery of services to clients together with product teams
- Working with Mastercard account managers and clients to identify new business opportunities, communicate opportunity areas to key clients, ensure alignment among stakeholders and manage dependencies
- Understanding client’s business needs and solving for the client’s unique problems
- Creating relevant and customized solutions for our clients leveraging various Mastercard Data & Services capabilities and assets
- Cross-selling multiple solution sets to customers from cyber intelligence tools to payment innovation amongst others
- Understanding client’s organizational systems and take a considered approach to problem solving for the client’s unique situation
Education Needed:
- Undergraduate degree required
- MBA or relevant post graduate degree (beneficial but not critical)
All About You:
- Solid track record for delivering objectives
- Experience with selling complex solutions to large organizations
- Practical experience in the payments ecosystem and/or sales experience in technology platforms or a niche consultancy is desirable
- Experience in payments and cards business is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and as an individual contributor
- Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
