Job description
We are currently recruiting for a talented Deputy Manager to join our Apollo Bingo Club based in Camborne, to lead and manage the day to day running of all aspects of our Club operation.
You goal will be to ensure that you and the team deliver world class service & standards to our loyal customers, working collaboratively with the General Manager to achieve this.
The Role
- Supporting and contributing to the effective operation of the business as a member of the management team.
- To actively drive teams to deliver the highest level of customer service excellence with a fun local flavour.
- To provide full support to the Club in all aspects of Administration to ensure items are completed on time and to a high level of accuracy
- To ensure all Gambling Commission, Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations are adhered to.
- To give clear direction and provide full support for all departments ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to, in line with the Company guidelines.
- To support the General Manager and recruit, train, develop, motivate and lead teams to ensure high staff retention and a positive work/club environment.
- To ensure the general housekeeping is to the highest possible standard in line with Company policies and procedures, in all areas to enhance and promote the brand.
- To deputise in the absence of the General Manager.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate to the role
The Person
- Experience in the Bingo, Leisure or entertainment industry in a supervisory/management position
- Experience in leading and managing teams
- Operationally focused with outstanding customer service skills
- Customer service driven where only the best will do
- ‘Can do’ attitude and ability to get the job done – This role will be hands on and will require a large element of ‘doing‘ the job on a day to day basis
- Results orientated
- Financially astute and able to interpret sales to flow into results/GP targets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications & EPOS/Stock systems

The Pay & Hours
This is a permanent full-time position. Our hours of operation are usually from 11am to 11pm 7 days per week and work patterns will include a variety of afternoons, evenings and weekends, therefore flexibility is key. Salary expected to be up to £27k per annum but will depend on experience.
