What you’ll be doing

We have a new exciting permanent opportunity ready for a collaborative and attentive Data Analyst to join our leading Smart Metering programme team.

As the Data Analyst in this position, you’ll be required to track the Smart Metering rollout plan which will include campaign management, looking at pre and post-installation reporting.

You will be working closely with and supporting the Data and Strategy Project Manager with particulars such as reviewing and understanding outputs and outcomes and the best way to communicate data findings to the business.

You, the Data Analyst will be required to assess customer’s property, meter base, asset base, communication modes availability, regulatory commitments, stock availability and budgets

The role requires working closely with the Smart Metering Operation Centre (SMOC) team to assist with tracking and reporting for all program activities and processes. It will include analysis, report creation to help identify any inefficiencies in the processes and provide recommendations to deal with those.

What you should bring to the role

Ideally, this Data Analyst position would require someone who has previous experience within a similar position, looking at and collating large data and creating effective presentations methods to aid with business insight and market strategy.

It is envisaged that the appointed Data Analyst will possess the following;

  • Advanced MS Excel skills or strong working MS Excel experience
  • Working experience with SQL, Power BI and other in-house systems
  • Ability and experience of analysing, creating and presenting insight with recommendations to stakeholders and other business areas for further course of actions
  • Sound working understanding of databases, interfaces, business systems and workforce management solutions
  • Strong communicator at all level with a collaborative team working nature who is equally able to work independently and using own initiative

This is a permanent position offering from £33,500 to £38,000 depending on knowledge and suitability.
