Little Dessert Shop is an exciting sweet brand, offering a dessert menu of waffles, crepes, cookie dough, cakes and bakes, as well as hot and cold beverages, to eat in or takeaway. Our stores have a luxurious interior to enjoy our legendary dessert creations, so that our guests can experience the ultimate dessert dining experience.
To do that, we need a Manager who shares our vision, ensuring our dessert creations are prepared to our standards and served with highest levels of customer service.
As a Little Dessert Shop Manager you will come from a hospitality or retail background (ideally a coffee shop, restaurant or bar) with some management experience, have a creative flair and love desserts!
Well-presented, you are friendly and approachable to both guests and your team members. You have a great customer focus and lead your team in delivering the ultimate dessert dining experience to every guest, every time. You will ensure that Little Dessert Shop's standards are adhered to by all staff, at all times. This will include Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Customer Service and Dessert Presentation.
Food handling, food hygiene and food safety are an important part of our business. Therefore, you must have a good working knowledge of Food Safety and Food Hygiene as well as Health and Safety regulations and will ensure the store is compliant at all times.
During busy periods, you keep a calm composure and are able to direct both kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring a seamless service from ordering to table. You are passionate about providing the best customer service and have an excellent command of English, enabling you to communicate with guests and staff tactfully and courteously. You are able to resolve guest issues quickly and competently. You have the ability to use your own initiative to problem-solve, plan and prioritise as well as having a proactive attitude.
As well as recruiting staff, you will train, lead and motivate them. You are confident in managing the performance of staff including lateness, absences, attitude, performance and any other issues that may arise. A natural leader, you will consistently aim to get the best from both the store and your team.
You will be in charge of all aspects of running the store and will be competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Flexibility is a must as hours may be long and evening, weekend and bank holiday working will be required. You may also need to travel to provide cover or training at our other sites and to attend meetings.
You will be also be responsible for:
· Maintaining stock levels and ordering stock
· Cashing up and reconciliation of the tills, maintaining the float and that there is adequate change for the trading period ahead
· Developing staff rotas and ensuring the store is staffed appropriately for the trading period
· Ensuring the store is fully compliant with all Hygiene, Health and Safety regulations
· The email inbox for the store. You will be replying to and resolving guest compliments, complaints and queries
· General upkeep and maintenance of the store
· Following the operational guidelines
· Maintaining the brand standard
· Any other task in the course of your duties.

Essential criteria:
· You must have the right to live and work in the UK
· Experience in a restaurant/retail (restaurant, bar, coffee shop) environment. However, training will be provided for the right applicant
· GCSE in English and Math's A-D
· Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
· Able to use Microsoft Office and Outlook
A qualification in hospitality is not essential but would be an advantage.
