Manager, Business Financial Reporting

In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior Manager to consolidate, control, challenge, and communicate accurate financial reporting for the BT Business Customer Facing Unit (‘CFU’) and the Business central functions unit while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
This entails being accountable for the integrity and effectiveness of financial reporting, providing guidance and instructions for the units and teams across the entire department.
The role will serve as a centre of excellence for specialist finance reporting services and advice, as well as supporting the business in developing and delivering business plans.

You'll have the following responsibilities
Delivers and manages internal and external financial reporting processes (monthly, quarterly and annual), providing financial insight (variances on actuals and budget), providing guidance to support effective delivery and performance management
Execute specific elements of the group finance reporting strategy and ensures design and delivery of the reporting activities, P&L management, management accounts and analysis
Presenting financial information to Senior Leadership and Group
Develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and uses them to understand new and upcoming trends in business activity and performance that will impact reporting
Ensures appropriate controls are in place that enable reporting to meet internal and external regulatory requirements as well as audit standard
Considers risk, regulation and uncertainty and ensures that key risks are identified and mitigated with controls in line with the control framework. Ensures operational effectiveness of controls.
Drives the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting processes and to resolve data issues impacting productivity and compliance
Acts as a key contact with Group, other Business Units, FP&A, HR and other CFUs for matters relating to Business financial reporting and accounting including Audit team.

You'll have the following skills & experience
Accounting principles – Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or international equivalent
Finance Data, Processes and Systems (SAP Preferred)
Financial & Data Analysis and insight (competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Financial Controls, compliance and risk
Management Reporting
Risk and Assurance
Financial Accounting
