- Verisk is a Nasdaq 100 Listed business, looking for a part qualified Management Accountant to drive forward its core finance deliverables in the areas of Management accounts and Director pack creation.
- Based out of Norwich city centre office which reports into the Finance Business Partner that is based in Norwich. Hybrid working of two days a week in the Norwich office is our standard approach.
- Includes study support towards a professional accounting qualification.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF ROLE
- Timely and accurate maintenance of accounting records.
- Preparation of core working papers supporting the management/statutory accounts for FBP review.
Duties and responsibilities
- Complete full working papers, KPI pack and management accounts for monthly Board packs. (5 working day post month end reporting)
- Continually review internal financial processes and procedures, effectively communicating deficiencies and potential solutions.
- Undertake an active role in the production of statutory accounts and auditor packs.
- Prepare monthly MI for the Sales, IT, Operations and Exec teams for FBP review.
- Oversee the purchase ledger process; including the handling of supplier and group company queries.
- Perform a review role of central payroll workings, checking for any discrepancies.
- Assist in the budget and forecast process where suitable.
- Assist in other commercial finance projects.
- Fulfil additional ad hoc duties within the wider Finance department from time to time.

- Part qualified of a relevant accounting professional level qualification ACCA, ACA, CIMA. Individuals close to part qualification with relevant experience will be considered.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, ideally peoplesoft but not essential.
- Strong IT skills, intermediate Excel skills as a minimum (Including use of SUMIF, IF & LOOKUP functions and pivot tables).
- Ability to prioritise and self-manage, with a professional “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent all round communication skills.
- Background in Finance and awareness of accounting principles and processes.
- Flexibility to work reasonable additional hours as necessary to perform the above duties.
- Experience working in a corporate multi-location finance function is advantageous. .
