Management Accountant

Xeinadin Group is a forward-thinking Top 20 firm of accountants and business advisors. The East Midlands hub is one of our newly formed hubs and houses a number of successful firms in the region all focusing in the SME market.
The role of our Management Accountant is an essential one, working closely with the Hub Financial Controller be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information against a monthly timetable, as well as assisting with the development of accounting practices and helping with Hub level projects.
Our Management Accountant opportunity will also give you a huge amount of scope as the hub grows, with opportunities for training and development and further career opportunities across the business.
Key duties;
- Provide and confirm monthly intercompany balances for confirmation with other intercompany partners.
- Timely production and maintenance of regional offices working paper reconciliations for month end.
- Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals and prepayments.
- Ownership of the fixed assets register.
- Review of P&L and balance sheets to ensure compliance with group finance policy.
- Uploading all supporting documentation to Xero Working Paper Pack within Group deadline.
- Ensure all statutory payments (Corporation Tax, PAYE & VAT) are made in a timely manner.
- Preparation of audit information in line with auditor’s deliverable list as required.
- Bank reconciliation on a weekly basis
- Implement and monitor robust credit control systems, such as the production of weekly debtor’s report to identify slow paying clients. Seeking for senior managers and partners’ help in chasing lagging payments.
- Preparation of weekly cash forecast to identify spare cash to be remitted to Group as cash pool arrangement.
- Preparation of weekly debtor receipts listing.
What we are seeking.
- Previous experience within Management Accountant ideal, or someone with Purchase Ledger experience that is seeking to progress.
- Ideally AAT qualified or working towards qualification.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience using Xero desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of IFIS advantageous.
