The Company
Operating for over 75 years from within West Yorkshire, Victor Manufacturing Ltd are a long established, family owned and operated, manufacturer of catering equipment & servery counters, supplying a number of prestigious clients both nationally and internationally.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has previous experience of accounting principles and is now looking to take that next step in their career. We pride ourselves with on the job training and can also offer study support for AAT/CIMA/ACCA.
Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Monthly P&L preparation and interrogation
- Month-end duties including, stock analysis, fixed assets, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with the preparation of the management accounts and annual budget processes.
- Ensure that all financial controls are in place and making sure all accounts are audit proof.
- Carry out variance analysis and completing various weekly / month end reports.
- Support month end closure by ensuring correct cut offs are observed / implemented including Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support of the annual accounts audit.
- Provide support to Sale Ledger Control and Purchase Ledger Control
- Support monthly bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Provide support to Weekly Payroll
- Liaising with other business departments and supporting KPI analysis
The Candidate
The successful candidate should fit the following criteria:-
- Minimum of 2 years previous finance experience - Essential
- AAT qualification/s – Essential
- Further Accountant Qualifications or working towards these (ACCA, CIMA,) - Desirable
- Confident with Excel (including pivot tables and lookups), Word,
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV (ERP), Sage Payroll - Desirable
- High attention to detail, reliable and career focused.
- Flexible approach, highly organised and effective time management skill

Full-time hours: 37 per week
Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 4:30pm / Friday 8.30am - 4pm
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £23,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
