Role: Management Accountant
Location: Rugby
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000
Contract/ Hours: Permanent/Full Time
We are recruiting for a Management Accountant, for one of exclusive clients based in Rugby.
Our client is a well established, Logistics company who has been trading for over 50 years, and due a big period of growth, they are looking to add another leader within the finance team.
This Management Accountant will have 3 direct reports and will work very closely with the Senior Finance Manager.
As the Management Accountant, your role and duties will include but not limited too.
· Day to day financial and management accounting for any of the legal entities but not limited to:
· Accruals, Prepayments, Inventories management
· General Ledger Account Reconciliation
· Period end ledger close
· Monthly reporting preparation to trial balance / P&L stage
· Daily monitoring of cash at bank balances / balance movements / payments.
· Overseeing the structure and data within Open Accounts (Accounting system) monitoring any new supplier / customer creation exercises for accurate completion.
· Responsible for overseeing the invoicing cycle of each entity to ensure timely and accurate invoicing is issued to customers.
· Management of the entity’s invoice discounting facility, including cash draw down in line with daily bank balance requirements.
· Coaching & managing the Assistant Accountants
The ideal person for the Management Accountant position, will need to be:
- Between 3 and 5 years in a Management / Financial Accountant role
- Qualified or Part Qualified accountant
- Excellent accounting skills and knowledge across all areas of accounting
- An understanding of a typical monthly accounting cycle from start to finish.
- Work on own initiative but within a team environment.
- Manage workload in an organised way, keeping to timetables and deadlines for task completion.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, general accounting, and bookkeeping. Experience of system migrations may be an advantage
