We are excited to be partnering a high growth business in the North West (main offices based near Manchester) who have a newly created opportunity for an ambitious and commercially aware Group Management Accountant (part qualified or qualified).
It’s an interesting and ambitious business – a group delivering superb and consistent growth and investing in ongoing expansion (organic and acquisition led).
Your role is vital. You’ll be supporting the FD in producing and delivering packs that give meaningful insights and make an actual difference. Creating a crucial bridge between finance and the rest of the business.
Yes, there’s core accounting schedules to keep on top of because that’s the nature of the beast… but it’s balanced with interesting value-add activities – getting into due diligence around acquisitions, developing commercial MI and commercially-valuable reporting, discussing margin retention plans, growth strategies and profit enhancement tactics, getting into an ERP integration project, looking into improving controls and streamlining processes…
Don’t be bored – don’t just go through the motions. It’s a waste of time and energy and you are better than that!!

You’ll ideally:
- Be qualified or looking to get qualified shortly.
- Have a strong core accounting background – you are likely a management accountant now looking for a step forward.
- Have great interpersonal skills – this is a modern SME in the £25m-£50m bracket and you need to be cool getting out into the business.
- Know your way around Excel.
- Be someone who loves making improvements.
You don’t need to be the finished article – you need sound core accounting skills but there is coaching / mentoring and development from a highly credible and forward-thinking FD.
