About Our Client
My client are a global travel and tourism business.
Job Description
- Reconcile sales and margins from the booking reservation system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post cost of sale accruals to accurately reflect financial performance.
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable function, managing both direct clients and agency debtors. Provide weekly reports for review.
- Take ownership of the self-billing process for agents, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting templates and monthly working capital reports.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by others.
- Approve Precision Pay virtual credit card transactions.
- Monitor the Finance Service Desk, providing updates on old tickets and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Provide line management to junior members of the finance team, including conducting one-to-one meetings, supporting professional development, and conducting appraisals.
- Document and review finance processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency measures.
- Assist with the year-end statutory audit process.
- Handle other ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and Finance Director.

- Previous experience working in a busy finance office, demonstrating the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Keen, motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, motivating others around them.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and is willing to go the extra mile to achieve results.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
- Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA)
