About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Professional to join the team. In this role, you will be required to take ownership and accountability for preparation of the management accounts and monthly management reporting; As well as assisting in maintaining strong controls for day to day activities and becoming part of a Finance team that strives to uphold the highest levels of accuracy in a timely manner. We are a team of 8 including the Finance Director, a relatively small team so we’re happy to help each other out where needed.
Key responsibilities
- Responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Leading the preparation of both Entity and Channel P&Ls including review for accuracy and supporting commentary.
- Assisting the Head of Finance with the completion of the monthly board pack.
- Providing business partnering to the wider organisation to ensure budget holders are informed and in agreement with all management information reported.
- Assistance with weekly payment runs and cashflow management
- Assisting with Bank reconciliations
- Approval of payments, purchase orders and other spend
- Control of billing (accuracy, timing etc.)
- Management of CAPEX and other major expenditure
- Preparation of country specific VAT Returns and assisting with state taxes in the US
- Management of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Preparation of Monthly SIF reconciliations (Santander Invoicing Facility)
- Completion and distribution of weekly reporting to agreed stakeholders
- Provide Head of Finance & Finance Director with concise, and clear updates and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner
- Ensure internal controls are in place and are applied/adhered to
- Maintain and improve standardisation of tasks and processes
- Other Ad hoc project
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
- Qualified or partly qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar role
- Self-starter and able to identify & develop solutions
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Advanced Excel / MS Office capability
- Able to explain and interpret complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Able to work accurately in a fast-pace environment

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
