Management Accountant

MM Consultinghouse

Full-time, Permanent Role

Location: UK – Central London ( 2 days office/ 3 days remote)

Salary: Up to £42,000 basic

We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have some experience within the hospitality sector and have a keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Sites complete with P&L’s, variance analysis and commentaries
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• Manage the weekly forecast reporting. Assist the business with periodic analytical information
• Revenue accounting – reviewing sales postings ensuring any issues relating to bookings and accounting for revenue in EPOS are resolved
• Banking reconciliations and resolving any banking issues
• Book relevant month end journals – accruals, prepayments, stock, depreciation, deferred revenue
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with maintaining cash flow model and cash flow forecasting
• Provide guidance and support for two accounts assistant making sure Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions run effectively
• Developing and maintaining a strong commercial relationship with all key stakeholders
• Ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions
• Assist with year-end audit

Our successful candidate will have:

Essential:

• Disciplined, high level of integrity
• Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT)
• Advanced Excel knowledge with exposure to Pivot Tables and Complex Formulas
• Experience in producing monthly Management Accounts
• The ability to work well under pressure and use own initiative to problem solve
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Quick to learn and adaptable to changing work allocation and able to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication & relationship building skills
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

Desirable:

• Experience working with XERO/Sage Accounting Software
• Experience working within the hospitality sector
