Job description
Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineering consultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Site and Ground Investigations, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolations and Cable Theft Security.
The roles purpose is to provide administrative support to the HSQE function. The role will further present you with the skills and qualifications to provide advice, support and guidance to Bridgeway staff in relation to relevant statutory legislation, Railway Group, Network Rail Standards and other industry standards. With development, you will be able to investigate accidents/incidents, non-compliances and implement corrective and preventative actions. You will work closely with the HSQE Manager and wider team of safety professionals to ensure compliance to the Bridgeway 3E’s ethos is always delivered.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide administrative support to the HSQE Team which ensures timely and accurate handling of HSQE information including accident/incident and near misses
- Manage the Bridgeway Close Call (Hazard Identification) process and provide feedback to actions taken
- Ensure that all relevant information is kept updated on files (electronic) included on the Bridgeway Health and Safety Event Log
- Keeping the HSQE Noticeboards up to date with recent Safety Memos and Alerts
- Assist with the planning and arrangement for our quarterly core Safety Briefings
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management
- Assist with legal and compliance standards updates
- Ensure that Bridgeway Core Safety and Fleet 3-4-3 briefings are being undertaken
- Assist with the develop toolbox talks, safety alerts and lessons learned documents to raise awareness of hazards and to provide guidance to reduce risk to the workforce
Other Duties
- Assist with accreditation audits, facilities, and site audits with the HSQE Team
- Attend and help prepare for the monthly HSQE meeting
- Collate HSQE data and accurately record to produce monthly reports and trends
- Assist with the review of Bridgeway approved suppliers from a Health and Safety standpoint
- Help review and update Bridgeway IMS Policies and Procedures
- Assist with internal/external audit planning and delivery as required
- Update Bridgeway KPI’s and monitor for trends
